Honors Program
- Honors Program students have credited the experience with helping them grow as individual thinkers, student leaders, and global citizens. The faculty and staff challenge students to look at education through an interdisciplinary and collaborative lens.
- Honors seminars are typically small (15 students) and discussion-based, offering an interdisciplinary experience as well as one-on-one interactions with the professor.
- The program provides students with an enhanced intellectual climate that enables them to meet and work with like-minded, highly motivated peers and faculty, and gives them opportunities to extend their experiences and relationships outside the classroom.
- The Honors experience seeks to develop and intensify skills from a conceptual point of view in a diverse multidisciplinary analytical environment that nurtures independent thinking, creativity, respect, and social responsibility.
- The program regularly hosts off-campus excursions for students to take advantage of the rich cultural and natural offerings of the Hudson Valley and New York City, including trips to Dia:Beacon, Museum Mile in New York City, Storm King Art Center, Olana state historic site, and hikes at Mohonk Preserve.
