The Diversity Abroad Network awarded New Paltz the Innovation Grant in recognition of the institution’s commitment to addressing issues of diversity, inclusion, and underrepresentation in international education through innovation.
The Center works in close collaboration with the Educational Opportunity Program to actively promote studying abroad to EOP students and offer them scholarship advising. As a result, the Center and EOP were jointly honored with the Andrew Heiskell Award for Innovation in International Education, and will be featured by the IIE Network as a “best practice” in international education.
Senior Advisor on Global Strategy and Past Dean Bruce Sillner was awarded the 2009 recipient of the Marita Houlihan Award, presented by NAFSA: Association of International Educators, in recognition of his leadership and significant contributions to the field of international education.
