Recipient Obligations


Obligations Before Internship/Experiential Opportunity

Confirmation of acceptance

Each recipient must obtain a formal acceptance letter for their internship/experiential opportunity.  Recipients must upload this letter with their online application through Academic Works.  

 

Photo release

Recipients must give their authorization for the SUNY New Paltz Honors Program to use photographs of them in promotional materials, including web materials.

 

Obligations After Internship/Experiential Opportunity

Reflection paper

Recipients are required to write a two-page, double-spaced paper on the benefits of their experience. This paper is due within a month of completing your experience.  You must submit this paper to the Honors Program Administrative Assistant.

 

Thank you letter

Scholarships at New Paltz are made possible through the generosity of many donors, of which are alumni and friends of the college. They made a commitment to invest in the future of students here and we would like to share with them, why their gifts make a difference to our students. Therefore, the Honors Program and the SUNY New Paltz Foundation requests that scholarship recipients acknowledge those supporters who make it possible by writing a thank you letter to the donor of this scholarship. This letter is due within a month of completing your experience. You must submit this letter to the Honors Program Administrative Assistant.

 

Photos/Videos for Honors Program

Robin Weinstein, campus photographer, will reach out to recipients to set up a time to have your picture taken.  Alicia Ivan will share your email information with Robin so that she may contact you. We would like to have this completed within a month of completing your experience.
