Honors Peer Mentorship Program

Seeing a familiar face on campus and knowing you have someone to talk to lessens the stress for a new student. The goal of the Honors Peer Mentorship Program is to give students the opportunity to build connections with peers with similar interests and get acclimated to college life. Mentors serve as role models and support the transition process of incoming Honors students, provide academic and personal guidance, and host programs throughout the semester to increase students’ campus connections. Mentors usually advise their mentees on meeting the Honors Program requirements, advance registration, or any other question mentees might have.

If you have any questions, please email our Peer Mentor Coordinator, Heather Bissett at bissetth1@newpaltz.edu
