Comprehensive Support for Military-Affiliated Students (One-Stop-Shop)
SUNY New Paltz Office of Veteran and Military Services offers a wide range of services tailored to the unique needs of veterans and military-affiliated students. This includes internal personalized assistance with applying for GI Bill® benefits, military tuition assistance and other military-affiliated education benefits. All these benefits are managed by the OVMS to provide a streamlined process so you can focus on your education.
The Office of Veteran & Military Services provides free parking permits for military and veteran students, academic support, mentorship and a community of veterans, servicemembers and dependents (spouses and children).
In-State Tuition Rates for Veterans and Their Dependents
Regardless of residency status, SUNY New Paltz allows U.S. service members, veterans with non-dishonorable discharges and their dependents to pay in-state tuition rates. This policy ensures that military-affiliated students receive affordable education opportunities.
Dedicated Office of Veteran & Military Services
The university's Office of Veteran & Military Services is staffed with professionals who are committed to supporting military-affiliated students throughout their academic journey. The office assists with GI Bill® programs, tuition assistance, veteran scholarships and general questions regarding Department of Veterans Affairs’ issues. It also offers a dedicated lounge space and various programs to help build community and support studies.
