Peer Coaching
Feeling overwhelmed? Need a study plan? Struggling to manage your time? Academic coaching is a great resource for you! Peer coaching sessions are one-on-one at the CSS in Old Main B106 or one of our satellite locations at the Library or AWRC.
Peer Coaches Can Help With
- time management
- creating a study plan for an individual class, all classes or a general schedule
- organization and organizing class materials
- concentration techniques
- tips to avoid procrastination and increase motivation
- specific study techniques such as note taking, textbook reading and memorization
- information about campus resources and how to contact individual offices
Peer Coaching 4-Session Series
Students in the 4-Session Series that attend and participate in four, one-on-one sessions with a peer coach in a semester and meet other qualifications may be eligible for a $200 book stipend. Qualifications include but are not limited to signing up for the program and receiving a recommendation from an advisor, faculty member or staff member at SUNY. Signing up is easy and encouraged for any undergraduate student interested in strengthening their study or time management skills!
