Message from the Dean

Welcome to the School of Business at SUNY New Paltz.

It is an honor to serve as Dean of a business school distinguished by its commitment to academic excellence, student success, innovation, and community engagement. Our mission is to prepare students not only for successful careers, but also for ethical leadership and lifelong learning in an increasingly dynamic and interconnected world.

One of our greatest strengths is our exceptional faculty and professional staff. Our faculty are accomplished scholars and dedicated educators who combine cutting-edge research with practical business experience to create engaging learning experiences for our students. Equally important, our professional staff provide the support, guidance, and expertise that help students thrive throughout their academic journey.

As an AACSB-accredited business school, we are committed to the highest standards of quality in business education and continuous improvement in teaching, scholarship, and engagement. We provide students with a rigorous and relevant education that prepares them to meet the challenges and opportunities of today's global economy.

Experiential learning is central to the School of Business experience. Through internships, consulting projects, research opportunities, study abroad programs, and partnerships with businesses and community organizations, students gain valuable real-world experience and develop the skills employers seek.

Our location in the Hudson Valley provides a significant geographic advantage for our students. Situated within close proximity to New York City and surrounded by a vibrant regional economy, the School of Business offers abundant opportunities for internships, career placement, networking, and graduate education.
