Steven Deutsch


Steven DeutschSteven Deutsch is Executive Director of Campus Auxiliary Services (CAS) at SUNY New Paltz, where he leads the $20 million nonprofit organization responsible for many of the University's essential campus services, including dining, the bookstore, residential support, conferences, and vending operations. Since joining CAS in 2003, he has overseen strategic planning, financial management, vendor partnerships, and board governance, helping to ensure high-quality services that enhance the student experience.

Prior to joining SUNY New Paltz, Deutsch held leadership positions at International House in New York City, overseeing residential and auxiliary services and serving as Interim Director of Finance. He also taught as an adjunct faculty member at SUNY New Paltz, earning top student evaluations for his instruction in critical thinking.

Deutsch holds a Master of Management in Hospitality Administration from Cornell University and a bachelor's degree in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music. He serves as a member on the SUNY New Paltz Foundation's Goshawk Committee, where he contributes his extensive experience in campus operations, facilities, and nonprofit management to support the Foundation's stewardship of its real estate assets.
