Julia Davis joined SUNY New Paltz as senior staff accountant for Development & Alumni Relations in December 2013. In June 2018, Julia 
was promoted to director of Finance and CFO. She will serve as the liaison to the Finance and Investment committee and the Audit committee. Other responsibilities include the supervision of daily accounting functions, preparation of financial reports and oversight of New York State compliance for all Foundation records, and maintaining proper controls over the offices’ State and Foundation Activities.
Prior to coming to New Paltz, Julia worked in the insurance industry for 26 years. Her most recent position was the chief accountant for Frontier Insurance Company in Rock Hill, N.Y. While working in the insurance industry, Julia earned her AIAF and ARe designations.
In the community, Julia is a member of the administrative board and board of trustees of the Bullville United Methodist Church and a project leader for Orange County 4-H. She has been involved in the Pine Bush All Night Graduation Party committee.
Julia graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a B.S. in Accounting. She lives near Pine Bush, N.Y. with her husband, Tom, and their twin sons.
