The Alumni Awards are presented yearly at the Alumni Awards Ceremony & Dinner during Alumni Reunion. Nominations are closed; recipients will be announced in June.
The Alumni Professional Achievement Award recognizes alumni who have achieved distinction in a chosen profession or outstanding lifetime achievement.
The Distinguished Alumni Service Award recognizes alumni volunteers who have made exceptional contributions in support of the activities of the SUNY New Paltz Alumni Network.
The Friends of the Alumni Association Award recognizes individuals (non-alumni) who have made exceptional contributions to alumni engagement in University life.

40 UNDER FORTY
The SUNY New Paltz 40 Under Forty Awards celebrate a New Paltz graduate who is a passionate and dedicated leader in their profession, creates positive change in their community, or re-imagines the world in an inspiring way. The awards are presented every two years to a cohort of 40 alumni who are 40 years of age or younger. Alumni are individuals who received an undergraduate, graduate, or certificate of advanced study from SUNY New Paltz.
Nominations are now open for the 2026 Honorees. Selected honorees will be announced in March 2026. A ceremony and dinner will take place to honor their achievements on Saturday, June 20, 2026.
