SUNY New Paltz is excited to offer a new way for our alumni to support the next generation of Hawks! We are inviting New Paltz graduates from across the generations to nominate high-potential students for a streamlined application process that includes fee waivers and priority review.

ALUMNI AWARDS

The Heritage and Alumni Awards will be presented at the Alumni Awards Ceremony and Dinner during the Alumni Reunion on October 17, 2026. Nominations are currently closed and will open in January 2027.

The Alumni Professional Achievement Award recognizes alumni who have achieved distinction in a chosen profession or outstanding lifetime achievement.

The Distinguished Alumni Service Award recognizes alumni volunteers who have made exceptional contributions in support of the activities of the SUNY New Paltz Alumni Network. 

The Friends of the Alumni Association Award recognizes individuals (non-alumni) who have made exceptional contributions to alumni engagement in University life.

40 UNDER FORTY

The SUNY New Paltz 40 Under Forty Awards celebrate a New Paltz graduate who is a passionate and dedicated leader in their profession, creates positive change in their community, or re-imagines the world in an inspiring way. The awards are presented every two years to a cohort of 40 alumni who are 40 years of age or younger. Alumni are individuals who received an undergraduate, graduate, or certificate of advanced study from SUNY New Paltz.

Nominations are closed and will reopen in September 2027.
