Students interested in law have two options for structuring their courses in this field:
(1) declare a major in Political Science, with a concentration in Law
(2) declare a minor in Law & Politics
The Law concentration within the Political Science major requires 12 credits of upper-division, law-related courses offered in the department. The Law & Politics minor is an 18-credit interdisciplinary program, with law-related courses from such departments as Political Science & International Relations, Philosophy, Sociology, and Black Studies, as well as the Journalism Program and the School of Business.
For further information on both of these programs, see the chair of the Department of Political Science & International Relations (JFT 816), the pre-law adviser (JFT 812), and program and course descriptions elsewhere in this catalog.
