Sharif Jamal is a New York licensed real estate agent and currently serves as the director of real estate and brand development for Chestnut Petroleum Distributors (CPD) Energy Corp.
Mr. Jamal is a second-generation executive for the family-owned company, founded by his father Mickey Jamal in 1981 when he opened the first gas station in New Paltz. With hard work, smart decision-making and a strong customer-centric approach, CPD Energy became a major petroleum marketer and distributor with a retail and wholesale enterprise that spans the Northeast area. The gas station and convenience store chain has over 175 commission agent/dealer locations and 70 company-operated sites in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut – with plans to hit 100 by 2025.
CPD Energy operated under multiple retail brands for forty years before Mr. Jamal and his team created the new Chestnut Market brand. Partnering with multiple leading retail service and solution providers the Chestnut Market concept officially launched in 2020.
Mr. Jamal has worked at CPD his entire career, from cashier to retail and wholesale account manager to corporate training manager to his current role. He served as a board director for the National Advisory Group’s (NAG) Young Executives Organization (YEO).
Jamal resides in the Poughkeepsie area with his wife Mona and their three children.
