Edward Carroll ‘85 is a media executive and producer who recently stepped down as chief operating officer at AMC Networks after more than 30 years with the 
company. He oversaw programming, marketing and ad sales in the US and across Europe and Latin America for AMCN's brands including AMC, BBCA, IFC, Sundance, WeTV and streaming services Acorn, Shudder and ALLBLK. Among the series Mr. Carroll greenlighted were Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Killing Eve and Portlandia.
Mr. Carroll received his B.A. in communications from SUNY New Paltz in 1985 and is married to alumna Gina O'Brien-Carroll '86. O'Brien-Carroll has written and/or directed independent films that have premiered at Sundance and Los Angeles Film Festivals. The Carrolls reside in Huntington, NY and New York City.
