The Theatre Studies concentration is where students explore the intersection of research and practice. This concentration uses the curricular core requirements to nurture both scholars and practitioners through advanced courses in both areas. Students in the concentration explore their interests in directing, dramaturgy, management, and producing. Students learn about the craft of playwriting; script analysis; and varying models of working as a dramaturg -- such as in theatrical productions, new play scenarios, as institutional literary managers/dramaturgs, and within other artistic areas (e.g. "danceturgy" and "musicturgy")." For additional Theatre Studies classes, please see our courses.
