We are dedicated to nurturing New Paltz students' creative identity through a dynamic, experiential, and strongly diverse educational environment. The program aims to build well-rounded theatre-makers by focusing on collaboration and risk taking, whether it’s in the classroom, the studio, or on production. Our faculty are dedicated educators who provide students with models of excellence through their own creation of award-winning work.

We offer a Bachelor of Arts degree grounded in applied contemporary Theatre practices, presenting a wide array of perspectives and possibilities to a student's artistic endeavors. Students enrolled in the Minor program and General Education courses experience the multidisciplinary tradition that is Theatre.
