The SUNY New Paltz Department of Music inspires students to develop their love of music, obtain the necessary skills to achieve their musical and professional goals, and contribute to their communities and beyond.
We are a fully accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music and approved by the American Music Therapy Association.

Upcoming Concerts
The Gig
The SUNY, New Paltz Faculty Jazz Ensemble presents, "the Gig". Members of the Jazz faculty will join together to present an evening of the art of Jazz improvisation. In the tradition of most Jazz performances, each member will bring to "the Gig their selection of repertoire to be performed without a formal rehearsal. The audience will experience a live jazz performance in its most spontaneous, creative format. Members of the ensemble will introduce each other and the compositions throughout the evening.

For the Love
A concert that explores love and its many dimensions. Glassbrook Vocal Ensemble is a professional choir based in Ewing, New Jersey, composed of the area's greatest educators, performers, and artists. Their varied concert program will feature new works and old favorites.
