Old Library
The Old Library Building, on the northern end of the SUNY New Paltz campus, houses the Graphic Design and Photography programs. The building is equipped with wi-fi access.
Design resources at Old Library include:
- Three Mac computer labs used for classes and otherwise open to students, with seminar and critique spaces, flatbed scanners, color laser printers and large format inkjet printers, external monitors, and projection set up. Software includes the Adobe Creative Suite and related applications.
- Bookbinding and letterpress facilities
- A variety of photographic and video equipment that may be borrowed by students
- Showcases for exhibiting work
Sojourner Truth Library
The Sojourner Truth Library building houses an extensive collection of design books, periodicals, and relevant databases. Reference librarians are available to facilitate research aspects of students' graphic design projects.
Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art
SUNY New Paltz’s Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art is another valuable resource for students with its active schedule of exhibitions and lectures.
