The studio spaces in the Art Department feature facilities for Ceramics, Metal, Printmaking, Photography, Painting & Drawing, Graphic Design, and Sculpture. Students also have the opportunity to work in the new Digital Design and Fabrication Center.
In addition to these studio area facilities, the Art Education program maintains laboratories in the Smiley Art Building to explore teaching art and a mobile computer lab and resource center for the exclusive use of students in the program.
Students also have direct access to exhibitions and programs of the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art. Additional resources include the Sojourner Truth Library, the largest public academic library in the Mid-Hudson region, and the Visual Resources of the Art History Department that houses slide reproductions of historical and contemporary art and architecture.
